Tour Packages

  • Standard Day Trip Tour - $12 per person

The most popular tour that we organize. This tour ideally leaves just after breakfast where you will first head out to Phnom Sampeou, a mountain almost 16km outside of Battambang. The mountain is full of recent history with the Khmer Rouge killing caves located halfway up the ascent. Skeletal remains still exist to this day from the brutal regime. On the mountain top is a beautiful Pagoda that is upstaged only by the absolutely spectacular view of Battambang province. This place in itself is a must for everyone passing through this town.

The next stop on this tour is Wat Banan, an 11th century Angkorian ruin, built on top of another mountain. The architecture is simply stunning as is the view. There are also the L'Ang But Meas caves to explore whilst there. Wat Banan is located deep in the countryside where the locals are very curious of newly arrived tourists, this aspect is one of the finer points of this tour as the locals will often come out and great you with very broken English. The children will wave and there is a warmth of kindness and curiosity in the air.

The last stop on this tour will take you past noodle factories and Cambodia's only grape vineyards (it's possible to stop here for a sample and a great souvenir) to the Bamboo train. The Bamboo train system is a unique form of transport to Battambang and a great way to end a long day with a bit of a roller-coaster ride. These tiny bamboo platforms race along the tracks at a far greater speed then even the fastest train in Cambodia. The real excitement comes when an incoming train has to be avoided, but I won't spoil that for you.

This tour runs for approximately 6 hours and should be compulsory for anyone visiting Battambang. Don't forget your camera as the views are breathtaking.

  • Full-Day Temple Tour - $17 per person

For those that want to embrace the early Khmer history as well as people that just love temples we have a special tour package for you. Not only does this tour include all three places in our Standard tour package but we also add Wat Ek Phnom into the journey.

Wat Ek Phnom is a 10th-11th Century hilltop temple that survived time quite well until the Khmer Rouge nearly obliterated it. What remains are some remarkable ruins bathed in Khmer history. Your tour guide will be able to tell you some great anecdotes of myth (or legend?) from this sacred site.

Also included in this package is a stop at The Crocodile Farm located near Wat Ek Phnom that is guaranteed to impress, or at least intimidate all comers. The Crocodile Farm is one of Battambang's best kept secrets and well worth a visit.

  • Kamping Pouy Reservoir & WaterPark - $20 per person

Need a break? If so then head for a very relaxing day out at the picturesque Kamping Pouy Reservoir and Waterpark. Located nearly 40km outside of Battambang deep in the countryside this is a surpirse Oasis rarely frequented by foreigners.

Absolute lush, virgin rainforest surrounds the reservoir providing the most beautiful backdrop to an already remarkable scenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch or eat at one of a few restaurants around the area. Its a great place for swimming and boasts what is arguably the cleanest water in Cambodia if not South East Asia. There is no better place to watch the sunset this side of Angkor Wat!
